Since our inception in 1984, volunteers have raised more than one and a half million dollars to fund teacher-directed projects that have benefited the “apples” of our eyes, our children, attending public schools in Santa Cruz County.

Contributions are tax-deductible; Schools Plus is a 501c(3) organization.

 

In the 2019-20 School Year Grant Cycle, Schools Plus issued nearly $20,0000 in support to over 110 teachers in over 20 different schools, effecting thousands of students in Santa Cruz County Public Schools and their parents!

 

In the 2018-19 School Year Grant Cycle, Schools Plus issued nearly $13,0000 in support to over 150 teachers in nine different schools, effecting over 3000 students in Santa Cruz County Public Schools and their parents!

 

In the 2017-18 School Year Grant Cycle, Schools Plus issued over $20,000 in support to nearly 90 teachers in over 140 classrooms of around 20 different Santa Cruz County Public Schools. Your support affected thousands of students in Santa Cruz County Public Schools and their parents!

In the 2016-17 School Year Grant Cycle, Schools Plus issued over $17,000 in support to over 170 teachers in nearly 100 classrooms of nearly 20 different Santa Cruz County Public Schools. Your support affected thousands of students in Santa Cruz County Public Schools and their parents!

During the 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 School Years' Grant Cycle, Schools Plus issued ~$50,000 in support to over 70 teachers in dozens of different Santa Cruz County Public Schools. Your support affected thousands of students in Santa Cruz County Public Schools and involved hundreds of parents!


Many grants fund projects and materials that serve our community schools for years to come!

 

 

The 2019-20 Grant Cycle Awardees have received their grant funds. 
The 2020-21 Grant Cycle Awardees are receiving their grant funding this spring and will be improving their students' classroom experiences throughout this and next year.
 
Due to COVID-19, 2020-21 Grant Awardees can use the 2021-22 School Year to make use of their granted funds.

COVID-19

In consideration of the COVID-19's effect on our classroom teachers, the usage of funds for the 2020-21 School Year has been extended to the 2021-22 School Year. 
Thank you to everyone's commitment to our communities' health and education during these unusual times.

Grants

Schools Plus supports classroom teachers through Classroom Teachers Grants and the Bricmont Library Funds.

 

2020-21 Grant Cycle Final Project Reports are due the 2nd Friday of September of 2022, due to the extension of time to use funds due to COVID

2021-22 Grant applications Due  emailed by the 1st of November
